PEIBWA announces new Rural Women’s Business Centre
We are excited to announce that the PEI Business Women’s Association has received funding for a new Rural Women’s Business Centre, thanks to the governments of Canada and Prince Edward Island.
The Honourable Wayne Easter, Member of Parliament for Malpeque, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), along with the Honourable Jamie Fox, PEI Minister of Fisheries and Communities, joined PEIBWA Executive Director Margaret Magner, PEIBWA President Miriam Vializ Briggs, PEIBWA Board Member Catherine Callbeck and members of PEIBWA to make the announcement today.
Over the coming months, PEIBWA will redevelop existing space in Central Bedeque to provide co-working space, training, mentoring, business counselling, and networking opportunities for women business owners and professionals in rural PEI. There will be a grand opening of the Centre in Fall 2019.
We look forward to expanding our presence and bringing opportunities and programs to PEIBWA members across Prince Edward Island!
