Central Development Corporation holds AGM at the Grand Victorian, Victoria PEI
The Board of Directors, Staff and guests came together on Thursday June 24th at the beautiful Grand Victorian in Victoria, PEI to celebrate an extremely busy year. Central Development Corporation managed over $1.6 million in project dollars in 2020-2021 fiscal year including Covid Relief Funds for the Tourism Industry. Add to that the $350k in Business Development & Entrepreneurship project dollars for a total of $2.1 million development dollars across PEI in 2020-21. Ann Worth, Chair of the Board welcomed all in attendance and carried the formal business section of the meeting through to completion approving the budget for 2021-2022, the Audited financial reports and slate of Directors for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.

Special guest speakers in attendance were Jack Pickering & Lucan DesJardins, “Island Mail” who gave an entertaining presentation of the ups and down of owning a small business. Jack & Lucas participated in the 2020 Young Millionaires Program, which CDC administers Island wide and are participating again this year with Island Mail 2.0! Staff members included Barbara Weeks, Executive Director; Gay MacPherson, Office Manager, Accounting; Mary Gallant, Administrative Assistant and Roy Young, Maintenance Supervisor.
