Central Development Corporation holds AGM at the Boxcar Pub & Grill, Emerald, PEI

The Board of Directors, Staff and guests came together on Wednesday June 15th at the Boxcar Pub & Grill in Emerald, PEI to celebrate an extremely busy year. Central Development Corporation managed over $$8 million in project dollars in 2021-2022 fiscal year including Community Capacity Fund, Young Millionaires and the Digital Acceleration Pilot Program.  Take a look at our Annual Report “Growing Forward Together” here Full Annual Report 2021-2022

Thane Smallwood, Chair of the Board welcomed all in attendance and carried the formal business section of the meeting through to completion approving the budget for 2022-2023, the Audited financial reports and slate of Directors for the 2022-2023 fiscal year.

Special guest speaker in attendance were Chloe Schurman & Family, “Chloe’s Designs” who discussed her business started with the help of the Young Millionaires Program, which CDC administers Island wide.

Board Members in attendance were Board Chair; Thane Smallwood,  Wayne Thompson, Kirk MacKinnon, Sharon Ross and Phyllis Carr. New slate of directors were approved for the 2022-2023 fiscal year were Wayne Thompson, Chair,  Kirk MacKinnon, Treasurer,  Matt MacFarlane, Secretary and Directors Sharon Ross, Kyle Glover, Ramona Roberts, Craig Harris and Dawn Sullivan.

Staff members included Barbara Weeks, Executive Director; Gay MacPherson, Office Manager, Accounting; Mary Gallant, Administrative Assistant and Roy Young, Maintenance Supervisor.

Ann Worth, Cushman and Wakefield presented a snapshot of the current Commercial Real Estate Market in PEI and a 2022 forecast from the Canadian Real Estate Association.

Thank you for the support of our local MLA’s in attendance; Brad Trivers Local Municipalities Kensington Mayor Rowan Casely and funding members from ACOA, Marilyn Murphy and Innovation PEI Steve Reamon.

Special presentations were given to retiring Board Members Thane Smallwood, Phyllis Carr and Austin Roberts.

Central Development Corporation holds AGM at the Grand Victorian, Victoria PEI

The Board of Directors, Staff and guests came together on Thursday June 24th at the beautiful Grand Victorian in Victoria, PEI to celebrate an extremely busy year. Central Development Corporation managed over $1.6 million in project dollars in 2020-2021 fiscal year including Covid Relief Funds for the Tourism Industry. 1.  You mentioned that there may be a Building Assessment Report, can you make that available, if one exists?

2.  Are existing drawings (as-builts) of the mechanical systems available?  They are not included in addendum issued.

ANS:      Everything we have is on the list of blueprints on website Addenda page

3. Please confirm that all freezer/cooler refrigeration systems are part of future tenant fit-up.

ANS:     Nothing has been confirmed but I would think so

4. Please confirm if plumbing fixtures within the process spaces are to be provided as part of base building or tenant fit-up.

ANS:      nothing has been confirmed

5. Please confirm that cooling systems to maintain process spaces #1 and #2 to 10˚C are part of tenant fit-up.

ANS:      Nothing has been confirmed but I would think so
